I have a J-O-B!

Like I said in my last blog, I've been trying to look for my first job, EVER. All of a sudden, I found one so quickly. My aunt called yesterday telling me I have an interview at Ben & Jerry's since the owner was looking for a new employee and they happen to be her client. (She's an accountant) So, she recommended me to her! Oh snaaaps. So I went today at noon for the interview. She was so nice! I was calling her "Mam" and she said I made her feel old. Hahaha! Cool eh. I filled out the application with an essay at the back too. Then she came back out with a employee handbook already with paper work I have to fill out along with it. Haha! She said I was hired, just like that. Funny how things work out. I start when I get my Food Worker's Card. I'll get that tomorrow morning so I can turn all this paperwork in later in the afternoon. Shoot, it seems so much fun to work in a Ice Cream place! Getting paid to do something you did your whole childhood, scoop ice cream! Except, I can't eat it unless I'm on break! Hehe! So if you're ever at the River in Palm Springs, hit up Ben & Jerry's! Haha! Damn, I feel so accomplished today.

I've also been learning how to drive. I'm excited. My dad is teaching me so it's cool. He said I did better than my sister's my first time behind the wheel. Haha! I found that hella amusing. Driving feels like freedom in your hands. I wish I could practice everyday. Hmph! But my dad is going to North Carolina for two weeks tomorrow and he's the only one I trust to teach me, so I have to wait 'til he gets back. Boo, I'll probably go take the written test while he's gone. Hehe!

I've been feeling so productive since I've arrived in Cali. Seriously. I'm way more happier now. Ah! Life is good. Though my love life could improve.. I am dealing with the circumstances right now. Love is patient, you know. It's a time game. I am just patiently waiting 'til everything is back to solid ground again. I'm not worried because I know what love can do. And I believe it's on my side. Hopefully..
